You are driving alone on a rainy evening after a busy day at work… suddenly the car’s battery goes dead and engine refuses to rev up!!! Not knowing what to do and with heavy rain outside, you prefer to sit inside the car and make a few calls to have someone for rescue…
Just when you try to pick the phone from the adjacent seat, you feel a soft, slippery touch of a creature hissing and entwining the phone!!! Even before the mind could process what’s it all about, mobile rings and the flash light of the screen lets you see the lengthy golden colored reptile staring at you intensely!!! Profusely sweating, you try to open the door from behind and get out of the car, but the door wouldn’t open!!!
Completely frozen and submitting to fate, you close your eyes only to open them up next day morning. Thinking it’s a bad dream and finding your car well parked in the garage, you get ready for a morning walk. You take the jogging shoes out of the shelf, put the socks on and try to slide the foot inside the shoe. But you can’t get it in as something seems stuffed inside! Thinking it’s the socks tucked in from previous day’s jog, you put your hand inside the shoe… and guess what! The same soft slippery touch!!! You throw the shoe off in a jerk and you see the reptile coming out of it and making its way into one of the rooms!
Not having any other option, you muster some courage and enter the room to spot it or confine it. You close the door, so it doesn’t go out unspotted… sweating profusely, you start looking around and suddenly hear a thud!!! A piece of flesh falling from the fan rod!!! You turn around to another feeble squeaking sound from around the wardrobe door and spot another flashy skinned creature creeping out. The next second, you hear the wall clock falling down and another thin silky, shining reptile hanging on to the bulb next to the wall clock nail…
In the impulse to reach the door, you try to leap back only to find another reptile swirling on to the door knob! Helpless and crest fallen, you try to get inside the attached bathroom and lock yourself in, only to realise a few more reptiles merrily roaming around on the water taps, geyser fittings and on the shower rods!
My friends, if you are thinking I am narrating a movie script, it’s unfortunately not!!! This happens to me every now and then! Atleast once a year for sure! Especially when I am stressed and haven’t had a good sleep! Not sure what it’s called, but snakes creeping in the dreams can be the scariest experience in life! Getting nightmares and waking up in the middle of night sweating etc., could probably be common; but not sure how common it is to have the same kind of dream repeating since childhood!!!
